Nick and Michelle Ward of Ohapi Fresh required the construction of a new onion processing and production facility, that incorporated a specialised drying system.

The building had to be designed in consultation with the team at PMR Grain Systems so as to integrate an internal drying system. A tight construction timeframe was set to align with the seasonal nature of the operation.

The final 360m2 structure included the modular drying system, along with slatted floors to assist production. A Tuatara Structures clear span structural steel building was the ideal choice for this build as it easily enabled the special features to be constructed on the interior of the facility.
