After many years based in Wanaka, the team at Otago adventure tourism institution, Oxbow Adventure Park, made the call to move on to a bigger, better site in the Gibbston Valley – just out of Queenstown. The move was years in the making, with the construction of three custom buildings just one piece in this epic build project. The design-and-build of the reception building, jet sprint boat dock, and shooting range was a very different, but exciting challenge for the Tuatara team.

Oxbow is a forward-thinking, innovative adventure tourism company that was relocating their business from Wanaka to the Gibbston Valley. They required three unique, custom buildings a purpose-built reception and ticketing building, along with a jet-sprint boat loading dock, and a shooting range building.

Tuatara worked closely with the team at Oxbow to develop plans that suited their business needs and complied with the strict Resource Consent conditions. We designed, constructed, and delivered a reception building with briefing rooms, offices, and amenities for attendees. On top of this, we built a custom jet sprint boat dock to suit the custom-built jet boats including an integrated helmet rack. We then constructed the shooting range shed to accommodate the gun range.
