This project encompassed a purpose-built warehouse and retail showroom for cleaning chemical and equipment business, Advance Clean. The steady growth of this nationwide business had led to the need for expanded premises to accommodate this cleaning and hospitality supply company. The ability to sub-lease part of the building while also allowing for future growth was another vital request from our client.
This project’s building site was located on Glenda Drive, an industrial area within Frankton, Queenstown. There were only certain places to position the building to comply with the QLDC District Plan as it was situated on a curve in the road.
We also had challenges around landscape site coverage. We had to accommodate for truck movements and a functional loading zone. Plus, we had to ensure there were enough car parks to comply with regulations.
We came up with a functional design that met our client’s requirements for a warehouse and retail showroom, plus offices, for his business. We were also able to incorporate a second tenancy of 140m2. This space can be leased separately, while also being available to use for future growth.
Aesthetically, to break the offices up and add a bit of flair, we clad the offices in vertical Colorsteel and Alucobond.
